Cardboard vs. Totes

Using plastic totes is a superior alternative to cardboard boxes because they are more durable and can be reused multiple times, making them a less expensive long-term solution. They are also eco-friendly, as they reduce the need for single-use cardboard, contributing to less waste and promoting recycling efforts. This makes plastic totes a better choice for the environment, helping to minimize your carbon footprint during your move.

At first glance, cardboard might seem like the budget-friendly option—but don’t let those mild manner carboard boxes fool you. Between constantly buying new boxes, tape, and bubble wrap (not to mention the ones that collapse mid-move), costs add up fast. Our totes are sturdy, stackable, and reusable. Plus, we deliver and pick them up when you are done—no box wrangling required.

Sure, recycling cardboard is better than tossing it—but it still takes a lot of energy, water, and trucks to make it happen. Our totes skip that whole process. They’re reused again and again, meaning less waste, less energy, and no soggy boxes after a surprise rainstorm. It’s like the eco-friendly version of Groundhog Day (but with moving totes).

Single-use plastic? Definitely. But our totes are the opposite. They’re built to last through hundreds of moves, then get recycled into new totes when they retire. It’s kind of like plastic with a purpose—strong, sustainable, and not the kind you find floating in the ocean.

Questions Before Booking

We know moving comes with a lot of questions, and we’ve got you covered! Whether you’re wondering how long you can keep the totes, how many you’ll need, or how payment and deposits work—we make it all simple, flexible, and transparent. From booking to pickup, we’re here to make the process stress-free and straightforward.

Yes! Whether you’re a slow packer or just really enjoy the company of our totes, we’ve got long-term options to fit your timeline.

Sorry, our totes are homebodies—they don’t cross state lines. But of course you can and they’ll be waiting patiently for your return.

Think of a big, strong, stackable lunchbox—but for your shoes, books, and kitchen gadgets. Our totes are 27″ L x 17″ W x 12″ H.

Life happens—we get it. If you cancel more than 48 hours before your scheduled delivery, we’ll refund your payment minus a 5% admin fee. If you cancel within 48 hours, no refund—but you’ll get a Tote With Us credit (also minus the 5% fee) to use on a future rental. If you cancel after we’ve already delivered the totes, unfortunately, we can’t offer a refund or credit.

They’re not for sale—they’re rental-only rockstars! But we totally get the tote crush.

We love a little heads-up! Try to give us 48 hours’ notice, but if you’re in a crunch, reach out—we might be able to work some tote magic.

Our standard rental is one week, but you can extend up to four weeks if needed. We won’t take it personally if you want to keep them longer.

The number of totes you’ll need depends on the size of your space and the volume of your belongings. Don’t worry—we’re happy to provide guidance based on the size of your home or office.

Payment is collected at checkout in a simple and straightforward process. There are no hidden fees or unexpected charges. Please check out the Payment Section of our Rental Agreement for additional information.  If you still have questions, just give us a call.

A $100 damage deposit is due when you book your delivery date—just in case a tote ends up on an unexpected adventure. You’ll get it back when everything returns clean and in one piece! For further clarity, please give us a call or see the Damage Deposit section in our Rental Agreement.

Ok I booked it... Now what?

You booked it—woohoo! We’ll confirm your delivery time and handle the drop-off and pick-up, so no need to stress. If you realize you need more time, extra totes, or accidentally send one off on a solo adventure, just reach out—we’re flexible, and we’re here to help every step of the way (and no assembly required—our totes come ready to roll).

Easy! You pick your preferred delivery and pick-up time during checkout—we’ll handle the rest. No phone tag or scheduling drama required.

No problem! Life happens (and packing takes longer than expected). Just let us know and we will do our best to accommodate!

It happens to the best of us. Just shoot us a text message, email or call us and we’ll get more totes out to you ASAP.

 

None! Our totes show up fully assembled, lids attached, and ready to be filled with your life’s treasures (or that random junk drawer you pretend doesn’t exist).

Well… hopefully it’s just hiding under a pile of laundry. But if it’s truly gone, we’ll have to charge a replacement fee. We promise not to take it personally.
